Prepare a safe export and verify it before sharing with colleagues.

How to export a report result
An export creates a snapshot of the current result. Before exporting, verify period, filters, and the availability of sensitive fields.
1. Check report context
Make sure the filters, sorting, and column set are correct. An export must not be used to bypass role restrictions.
2. Choose a clear format
Use a table for further analysis and a visual format to agree on a result. The file name should describe the report and period.
3. Verify the generated file
Compare row count, key measures, and period with the report screen. If the result differs, check report state first and then create a new export.
Security
Do not send exports containing personal or restricted data through insecure channels. Give a colleague access to the report if they need a current version.
Next step
Read sharing a report and verifying access if the result must remain available to the team.
